  Polymaths at a Laptop

  Original old-master oil generated for opena with an image model (text prompt only, no reference artwork). The laptop was later repainted as a MacBook with an image edit composited only over that area, the whole picture lightened slightly, then upscaled 2x and cut out. In round 13 the screen glow was removed (original pixels restored outside the laptop) and the cut-out edge smoothed. In round 14 it was rebuilt at 3840 px: a 4x upscale plus fine detail from image-model re-renders of overlapping tiles, aligned to the painting and blended in only where they agree with it (the laptop keeps its original paint). In round 15 the laptop lid got a procedural brushed-aluminium grain and rim highlight, a pale smear under the typing hand was repainted from the surrounding deck, and the strongest strand highlights in the hair were softened. Nothing is drawn on top.
